A restaurant by the beach is definitely a place to visit in Douala

Image
Ever sat in your house and wondered what you’re going to do with that new outfit before you fall in love with a new one? Ok I think I’m derailing a little but what I’m trying to say is that everyone needs a moment at the beach even if it is for 2 hours with a bottle of coke and iPhone to take pictures for instagram. Uuuhh What else will you be doing at the beach?? This  place is not really a beach....  well it is a beach but mostly a restaurant. It is safe to say that it is a restaurant by the beach 🏖 Besides what name you choose to call it, this place is so amazing, I can’t remember how I talked myself into leaving but trust me this is definitely where you need to cool down and de stress if you’re in Douala. The restaurant is called Restaurant Les Mangroves located by the banks of River Wourri in Bonanjo Douala around the Base Navale. It’s green natural sets a level of peace within a person. I’m not even exaggerating, the flowers and beautiful trees and other g...

Twist out on natural 4c hair

Image
I am definitely aware of the struggles that come with natural hair 😫 but at least I’m happy to say that I’ve had 3 years of experience so I can share a thing or two with you 🌹. My natural hair journey has been so fun, exciting and I’m constantly amazed at the magic that natural hair can perform given that I spent more than half of my life missing out on that bunch of greatness. It takes patience and consistency to get the hang of it but whatever trouble you get in between is totally worth it. ❤️❤️ I washed my hair 4 days ago and twisted it using only a mixture of raw Shea butter, honey and Jamaican black castor oil. I had always been skeptical about using honey on my hair without rinsing it off but i totally don’t regret it. I used the mixture to deep condition my hair after shampooing and rinsed off excess product then I applied it a little more (lol not sure why) before twisting it. I undid the twist the next day and put up the results on my instagram and got a ...

The best artistic site to visit in Douala

Image
If you are a Cameroonian and you can read this then there is a high possibility that you are anglophone and if you are anglophone, there is a high possibility that you are stressed, angry, anxious and probably depressed about the ongoing crisis. I realize that this also means that you are fed up with Cameroon and you would not want to lose any opportunity to leave the country, bad news is that not everyone can afford to leave the country but everyone deserves inner peace and there’s no way to get those since you have probably moved from your quiet town to Douala with her crazy inhabitants, insensitive loud bikers, angry traders, well just to name a few. If you are going through all of that then I guess you always need some peace and quiet. Guess what I found the other day.. aver cool artistic site with a lot of peace and quiet to offer  I love me some peace and quiet and I am a sucker for art so I’m always on the lookout for sites and like this so ...

Diary of an ambitious girl: My Letter to 2018 (poem)

Image
Dear 2018,          You’re welcome pal, you came in peace i noticed. I hope it stays so.          Your brother wasn't so bad but wasn't so bad ain't good enough.          You can be better because i'm giving you a head start.           Try to be nice to me.... On a second thought, hit me with your best shot.           Because i'm stronger and better now.           Your brother, he taught me a lot and I'm grateful so I'm ready for the worse.           He showed me all the fake friends           Helped me cross them obstacles and then, right there,           i knew i believed in miracles because, he gave me a peep at the end...

How i like to style my bob dreads

Image
This is a kinky bulk attachment color 27. Three packs ( not really, its actually 2 and 3/4).   A pack is 2500FCFA ( about $5 )      Well well! I've had this on for over a week and I'm def loving it. I actually stepped out of my comfort zone to get this hair done, so i decided to explore a few styles to avoid getting bored of it. I put together all the styles I've tried since i got the hair done. Nothing difficult, just exciting. Normally i come up with funny names for the styles lol. I guess i just wasn't inspired this time around. These are pretty easy, but I'm going to drop a video below showing steps on how to do 2 or 3 of the styles that might seem a little troublesome. Hope one or two style inspire you. Now let me get back to my indomie. ;)

What!! You think this is a joke? !!!

Don't mind the caption,  I just get a little carried away when I see nice things. The Asonganyi siblings are making a clear  statement here.  I'm so sorry if you don't notice it, my brain just works a little different, you see pretty clothes and colors, I see a perfect team work. Anyi Asonganyi's VIBRANT collection is definitely something to talk about.  We hope to see a little more of it on the streets. It's cute, it's chic and it's colorful. So hey, why not!
