Diary of an ambitious girl: My Letter to 2018 (poem)


 Dear 2018,

         You’re welcome pal, you came in peace i noticed. I hope it stays so.
         Your brother wasn't so bad but wasn't so bad ain't good enough.
         You can be better because i'm giving you a head start.

          Try to be nice to me.... On a second thought, hit me with your best shot.
          Because i'm stronger and better now.
          Your brother, he taught me a lot and I'm grateful so I'm ready for the worse.

          He showed me all the fake friends
          Helped me cross them obstacles and then, right there,
          i knew i believed in miracles because, he gave me a peep at the end of the tunnel and             guess what? I think i liked it.
          Thanks to him, i'm stronger and wiser.

           Now i ain't promising you that i won't soak my pillow in tears,
           Or breakdown till i can't feel my legs,
           I'm just saying that when I'm down all night,
           I'll wake up with the rising sun and be thankful for a new dawn,
           I'll put on some makeup, I'll hold my head up
           I'll wear the widest smile you ever saw and I'll hit the road.
           For the night may be dark, but then the sun shall rise and we'll sing the thanks.

           I trust that you'll keep fake and negative people away from me.
           I don't mind if i get just one true friend, its alright I promise i won't cry.

           I know you can't wait for me to correct all my mistakes, just keep your pace but don't              be in a haste, I'll play catchup.
 
           I beg you, don't shut the lights on me and my family, no tragedy is worth it,
           let's keep the fire burning. Take us along every waking day till its time
           for you to say goodbye.

           I'm just a poor  ambitious girl but I'm stronger than they've  heard because I trust in                God and I believe in hard work.
       
          ..... I'm counting on you....

Cameroon model: Ingrid Bassama wins award for fast rising model

 The African Models Exhibition is finally over and the people have spoken. Voting had been going on quite sometime and Kamer was represented by 6 models in almost all the categories.  Kamer's own Ingrid Bassama who got nominated for Africa's fast rising model has made us proud by bringing home that trophy. What better way to prove that you are the best than having a trophy in your honor?Congratz gurrll!!

This will make you cry!! Nigerian parents burn and burry their termed "witch and wizard" kids alive

See how akwa-ibom parents treat their kids because their local bishop termed them witches and wizards. Some of the parents burnt their kids up and tried burying them alive. A little girl lost her sanity because a 3 inch or so nail was driven into her head.
